My goal was to create an eye catching brand & an effective landing page.
Spool helps sales professionals to access relevant and always-improving collaborative insights during their calls and accelerate sales. Spool democratizes sales performance in remote teams empowering sales professionals to leverage winning insights & updates in real time. Through the website the possible spool users should understand the benefits of the app and be curious to download.
Challenge
SaaS tools. It’s clouded with confusion and many can’t see the real need for it and certainly don’t want to spend money for it. Spool is a tool aiming to ease the users from a really big issue in companies, meetings. The challenge was to create a fun brand to make it more relevant for their audience and ready for launch in the market.
Process & Solution
The world of SaaS tools is saturated. A fresh angle was needed. I decided to face this head-on and encourage the client to use only 2 colours yellow and black, to create an eye-catching identity and fun illustrations, in order to describe the complicated AI technology and make it easier to understand for the possible users. The illustrations combined with low fidelity mockups of the tool aim to give a good explanation of Spool’s goals.
Illustrations
When you create illustrations, it’s important to make sure they can transmit the brand message and be exclusive to the product. The solution was to combine the illustration of the users themselves and things that people associate with the remote working environment.
I made research and put together a list of such things: headphones, mails, home office, mailboxes. The illustrations look like they were from a comic book. They turned out very cute.
